High Voltage

The days pass quickly and 4 rounds are already behind. I played three games so far and if not the game I lost unbelievably stupid in the 2nd round, everything would have been fine.
It was a very important match for us yesterday, one that  can be easily described by the words "Missed Opportunities". Our positions looked very promising at some point, but "Caissa" had another plans and  we even lost the match with a minimum 4,5-5,5 score at the end.
My game was a very interesting and tense one, as I played against the very young and talented girl from Kazakhstan- Abdumalik Zhansaya. She is already a WGM (at the age of only 14 yo) and has some important achievements behind her. You can check the game here,by clicking "view pgn": http://superlig2014.tsf.org.tr/tr/component/turnuva/?task=fileview&kid=346

We have a double round today, but I am to rest in the morning.
I enjoy being here, as every year I play in the Turkish League and I hope that our team will show a good result :)

Wish you all a nice weekend!

xoxo from Kocaeli :)

Denizli

The Turkish League is over. Unfortunately, our team didn't qualify for the 1st League... We were really close, but we were too unucky in the last round's match.
I've scored 7,5p/9, winning some Elo points. Here's my game from the last round:

It was really nice to play after one and a half month without chess!
I will play in Kazan, at the Universiade starting from tomorrow. I am still in Denizli now- will get to Russia tonight. The tournament is going to be a very tough one- with double rounds and a lot of strong opponents. It will be a good preparation for the following EIWCC in Belgrad.
In the same time, I'm really curious about the atmosphere at the Universiade- so many young athlets from all over the World gathered in one place!

I hope to have a good tournament there and to make some worthy memories!

Intensity

Six rounds have passed. We won 5 matches and lost one. As about me- I've got 5,5p/6, winning all my games against lower rated opponents and making a draw against a higher rated one. Here's the game in which I made a draw, vs Sopiko Guramishvili (2426).

We have a difficult match today, playing against the favorite nr.1 team, who has also won all the matches so far. I have white against Nana Dzagnidze (2550).
Here are the board pairings of our team: http://kulupler2013.tsf.org.tr/tr/component/turnuva/?task=fileview&kid=294

It it my first tournament when I play with my rating being over 2400. It is quite difficult to raise your Elo when the k=10...

I hope to have a good game!

Turkish League

Here I am, in Denizli, playing in the Turkish 2nd League.
I was so eager to play chess again after one month break! It's really nice to feel the taste of wins :D
Our team- "Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor Kulubu" is the 2nd favorite in the starting list. The first 3 teams are going to qualify for the next year's 1st League- so this is our goal.
Two rounds have been played so far and I've got 2p/2- the team has also a perfect score. You can follow the tournament on the official site of the event: http://kulupler2013.tsf.org.tr/tr/component/turnuva/?task=fileview&kid=264, as well as the live games: http://kulupler2013.tsf.org.tr/tr/canli-yayin
     Here are some photos:
