Last Resort

Have you ever used chess as the last resort of getting better?
It is an interesting thing- when something goes wrong and I am down I always use chess in order to get back to normal. When it seems that nothing can make me feel better- I lose myself in chess and it always saves me. One can get hope when practicing chess. When it seems that there's nothing more to lose- one can just focus all his energy on chess.
Instead of going to bed pitying myself and worrying about the following day- I practice chess until my mind gets so exhausted that I can't think about anything and I just crash. When I wake up the next morning I feel better because I know that I can practice chess again not carrying about anything else.
It is a good thing to be able to use chess as a resort of saving yourself and I am so happy that I've got it.

A refuel?

Here are 2 games from the 9th round in Gibraltar that ended unexpectedly quick. We all know that tiredness is an important factor in chess and one should save his energy during a tournament, it must be the main explanation of the mistakes that have been done. You can see the games below:

In order to avoid such moments, I think that one should have a good physical preparation, one that should be developed between the tournaments. Some players use to have snacks during the games- chocolate bars, cereals, fruits, energizing drinks in order to refuel their energy...

Living on a prayer

Yesterday has been such an amazing day for me! I won my both games, the first one in one hour and the 2nd one in about one and a half hour! I played really nice both games and I felt such an energy during the games that I thought I could move the pieces only with the power of my thoughts!
There's a funny thing- I played against Foisor Veronica yesterday afternoon and I play against her mother-Cristina today :))) Here's my yesterday's game:

Here are also some photos I've found on the official site of the event: http://www.sahclubmedicina.ro/memorialul_pius_branzeu_2012.htm

Adrian Petrisor- Vladislav Nevednichy, Marius Manolache-me -on the 2nd plan :)

Playing against Marius Manolache

Playing against Veronica Foisor
Corina Peptan- Iulia Ionica, me on the 2nd plan :D

Another funny thing is that I've played about 12 games against Cristina and I had white every time :)))

Keep your fingers crossed for me! :)
